In the summer of 2018 I was invited along with 11 other international artists to participate in the 2018 K-Lab Land Art Biennale in Nevelsfjord, Kjerringøy, Norway, north of the Arctic Circle. It was a spectacular setting and experience – unlike any I have encountered.

Mountains for a Moment, 2018
Here in this extraordinary landscape, these living mountains render me near inconsequential. From day to dusk to day again, I walk the mossy hills and pick dried stalks from a grass I cannot name. How tiny I’ve become here. I claim a rock that sets a stage and piece by fragile piece, I weave this place to make it mine. For a moment, my mountains are spectacular too – until the wind and time carry us both away.
